Children (4-11) - Profesorado de inglés online
Hi, I'm Peter and I teach English. I'm South African born, I've taught at various schools and lived in many countries in the ASEAN, especially Laos, Thailand and Indonesia. I want to help you achieve your purpose and open the world to you, by improving your English. Yes English is the key and we can improve your future by studying English and improving your pronunciation and hearing in conversations. You will be able to watch American movies and enjoy them. You will become part of the international English speaking community. We can have conversations about the subjects of your interest and develop your life with English becoming an asset in your life. I personally use interactive teaching as application gives awareness of use of the language and as you make use of the language it becomes a reality and grows in usage. I know we must be goal orientated so that you can achieve your purpose with learning English, I hope to see you soon so that we can plan your studies together. I've attached my CV showing my experience as teacher and my CELTA certificate as information about my history in teaching English in Laos and Thailand, in Laos I taught surgeons at the Mahosot hospital, Pankham Jampa Printers and several schools, even did editing at BKL News, and I taught in Nongkhai at the NYC college, ThaiBev management, Royal Nakhara Hotel and Convention Center, and even a year in Khonkaen. I prefer teaching with Test Teach Test as it creates interaction and applied knowledge is easily sustained. Practice makes perfect so the next lesson is always opened with what was taught in the previous lesson. That is revision and refreshing the mind and refocusing on prior taught information and application enhances actual memory. This helps to develop the thinking and through application practice as practice is the best way to learn a language.
Hi everyone! My name is Amy. I'm from London, England, and I’m a professional CELTA certified English teacher with more than 12 years of teaching experience. As well as teaching English, I also have a postgraduate master's degree in Theatre and I also work as a theatre and drama teacher. My aim is to help my students learn English in an enjoyable and interactive way, using engaging material chosen for each individual's level, interests, and learning style! I speak with a neutral British accent and I have experience helping many students with pronunciation and developing a more British accent if that's what they want. I’m a person who loves a challenge and to try new things. Around 15 years ago I decided I wanted to travel the world and I haven’t stopped since. I’ve travelled extensively and have lived in Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America. My life is about experiences and learning about different cultures and people, which is why I love teaching English. I consider myself an artist, an actor, a dancer, and an educator. I have taught English in the UK, Asia, and South America. Most recently I taught in South Korea and prior to that I taught English in Argentina, where I was living for 6 years, so I also speak Spanish. I have taught a whole range of nationalities and age groups, as well as all levels of English. I have experience teaching very different kinds of classes such as general English, exam preparation classes, pronunciation classes, conversation classes, and grammar classes. All my classes will be tailored specifically to your needs, focussing on the area that you feel you want to work on and topics that you will find interesting! The most important thing about my classes is that they are fun and interactive. It is much easier to learn a language if you enjoy taking classes! I try to incorporate games, discussions and debates, videos, music, and a whole range of other interesting authentic material into my classes. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message. I hope to see you in class! **I am taking on new students but please note, I am not taking on anyone under the age of 6 years old at the moment**

I am a BRITISH ENGLISH teacher on Verbling and in Granada, Spain. I speak ENGLISH and ESPAÑOL fluently, as I teach both languages. I teach all levels from A1 to C2, I am experienced in teaching both adults and children, and I prepare students for exams such as the IELTS, CAMBRIDGE, PET and KET exams. I am highly motivated and genuinely love teaching. I focus on building confidence in my students in a fun and friendly atmosphere. As a student, your language journey is unique, and so I design my classes on an individual and personalised basis. This means that you are able to advance your skills and gain access to the English-speaking world in the most productive and effective way. I have been learning Spanish since the age of 14, therefore I am aware of every step of the language-learning process and teach my students many tips and tricks for learning another language. I also specialise in idioms, as I believe that both the academic and non-academic sides of learning a language are equally important in learning both the language AND the culture too. I have a degree in English and Spanish from a prestigious British university, and I am from England, but currently live and teach in Spain. I have also been a teacher in Colombia, having taught at a university, a language school, and private classes both in-person and online. My work allows me to teach in different countries, and thus continuously enrich my teaching abilities through interaction with students with a variety of nationalities, ages, and levels. So far, I have worked in Spain, Colombia, England, the United States, and on Verbling. All of my experience has allowed me a valuable insight into how a diversity of students from around the world, with differing native languages and culture, are able to learn best. I thrive on new experiences, and each student provides me with different challenges and rewards. The journey to fluency in another language is a wonderful journey, and I encourage my students to work hard and enjoy the ride, with constant support from myself: a teacher who is also a friend.
Hello, my name is Adam. I was born, grew up, and still live near Liverpool, in England. I am a native English speaker, and I do not have a particularly strong regional accent, which helps students. I actually taught English to speakers of other languages informally for several years before I considered doing it professionally. In about 2005, I started teaching academic English to two friends from Turkey, who spoke Turkish and Kurdish as their first languages. I discovered that this was extremely enjoyable, because I love languages, and enjoy learning about other cultures. I have since gained TESOL qualifications from Arizona State University, in TESOL foundational principles, theories of second language acquisition, plus lesson design and assessment. I am now paid for something I gain such pleasure from. This is a great privilege. I have worked as a private tutor to students living in the Toxteth area of Liverpool. Many of these students are recent migrants to the UK, and speak a wide variety of first languages, including Arabic, French, and diverse African languages. I currently teach English to refugees and asylum seekers in Liverpool, on a voluntary basis. It is my honour to help people feel welcome in England. I am open to teaching students however they like - and can provide intricate, detailed, formal lesson plans if that is what a student considers most appropriate to their needs. I am also very keen on having informal conversations - 'a chat' - with students, and providing English language guidance as that conversation progresses. I am very willing to help students learn to read or write better in English, or improve their English listening skills, or prepare for a specific real-life situation in an English-speaking country - for example, an interview, using transport, or shopping. Conversely, we can have an informal discussion, about a subject that the student finds interesting. That way, they can learn from me, and I can learn from them. We both emerge from the experience knowing more about English, but also about the world in which we live.

RF, Owner, Sta. Catarina, Brazil "Terry did a terrific job in preparing me for an interview with the CEO of the world’s #1 healthcare company, RMA. Yesterday I just learned that I got the job as COO! The result speaks for itself. I will always keep it in my mind and integrate it into my future presentation and conversation with people I would encounter in the West." - Nathan Yang, Teacher, Taiwan “Sometimes I struggle with expressing my thoughts in English. I asked Terry to help me with a public presentation for a training session. Terry inspired me to speak from my personal experiences as it related to my topic. His direction was just what I needed to give life to an otherwise dull topic…” - Wenxin Guan, Senior Research Analyst, IMS Health, Los Angeles, CA "Terry came to the session with a great plan...He was perfectly prepared, so the lesson was well-structured and therefore extremely efficient. We worked on my job interview mistakes from my real job interviews. We also worked on my biggest grammar weakness - prepositions after certain words. I've never seen such a high level of professionalism.” - DK, Software Developer, Krasnodar, Russia *NOTE LESSON POLICY: If you cancel our lesson within one hour of the scheduled time, or not show up for the lesson without notice, the hourly lesson rate will be applied.
