I'm a certified English tutor (TESOL) and a University Teaching Assistant/ PhD Candidate. I have an Engineering and Business background(Petroleum Engineering) with Master's and Bachelor's Degree. I also prepare people for IELTS, TOEFL, CAE and other English Test examinations as well as BUSINESS ENGLISH. To say that I love Teaching will be an understatement. My whole life currently is centered around teaching as I spend the most part of my day teaching university students. My future goal is to work as a University Professor. Teaching a language, unlike teaching technical subjects requires patience, varying techniques and methods that are student-centered and that is one of the reasons I love doing this. It encapsulates the efficient use of the five main senses of human beings and how proper channeling of it can produce a 'wow' effect. I usually take my students through the 4 main skills (speaking, writing, reading, listening). Students will practice pronunciations, intonations , accent reductions and all that there is to English speaking. Improvements of grammar, Use of appropriate vocabulary and active listening skills will all be tackled. To do all of this, I employ the use of relevant teaching methods(role playing, controlled discussions, word drilling, etc), study materials (audios, videos, flashcards, games, etc) and a lot of other procedures..

I love exploring new ideas on life, love, business, Global Issues, Technology, Art, to name a few. and I use them to teach English around the world on some online platforms. I am a certified English teacher and I have teaching experience of over 5 years now. My approach is instead learning about Jack and Jill who went up the hill why don't we talk about the crazy, beautiful, and cruel world we live in. We will still be using English to discuss but in this way, we will learn something new. I'll learn from you and you'll learn from me. - Business English - Working with a global team - Business Negotiation - Interview - Global Issues - Technology - Life - Design and Art My focus in class will always be on communication because I believe communication is the best way to learn a language. here's how I do it. 1) I will send lesson material before our lesson (video, audio, phone script, interview questions, post, etc) 2) you have to watch that video multiple times if it's necessary to create a base for our lesson. 3) We will have a conversation about that specific topic in the lesson. see you later. Have a great day Thanks
Hello everyone. My name is Russell. I have taught English for many years. I have taught all levels, from beginner to advanced, or from levels A1 to C2. Mainly, I have taught in Cape Town, but I have taught students from all over the world. I like to find out what interests my students, as most of us enjoy talking about what interests us. Naturally, if your lessons are interesting to you, they will also be enjoyable. From my experience, using English to talk about what interests you and what you enjoy will enable you to meet and socialise with English speakers who share your interests. I have been in business for several years, and much of this time has been spent in managerial positions. Because of this, a have a good general knowledge of business, and I would be happy to include the world of business in our lessons. I look forward to working with you as you learn English. I originally graduated from Boston University with a Master's Degree in Engineering; however, later on, I found my true calling in teaching English. For the past eight years, I have been working as the Director of Education & Cultural Development for the Colorado Rockies. The position entails the implementation and coordination of the educational needs for all of the Latin players signed within the organization. It is my job to create an education curriculum to address the needs of the players and help them obtain the equivalent of a high school diploma. The primary responsibilities include the recruitment and training of teachers, professors, psychologists and educational facilitators from diverse areas as well as implement and oversee the high school/GED program for the academy. The duties also include mentoring the players, especially those with learning disabilities and help them develop their critical thinking abilities. I have spent approximately 17 years as an English Instructor and Professor. I have worked at various international institutes as well as local and private universities teaching Advanced Physics and Theoretical Mathematics. My areas of expertise in regards to ESL are vocabulary, accent reduction, reading and listening comprehension as well as in depth knowledge of American customs and culture. Teaching is my passion and is undeniably the most important job I've ever had in my life. Please feel free to reach out to me. I am always available to teach new students and I'll try to make it worth your while. Take care!
Hi everyone! My name is Liya. I'm from Connecticut, a state in the northern U.S. I received by BA from the Ivy League university, the University of Pennsylvania, and I graduated this spring with my masters degree (MPhil) from the University of Cambridge in the U.K. My experience is not just teaching on Verbling! I also taught English to refugee children when I was living in Moscow, Russia. I've lived in Switzerland and Russia, and studied French and Russian in school, so I know how difficult it can be to learn a foreign language. My specialities are speaking and listening practice to a high intellectual standard, as well as editing documents or papers. I love lessons that we can have a conversation, whether it be free or structured around a theme each time to improve your knowledge about art, politics, travel, literature and more. I hope to have clear and helpful lessons ranging from basic vocabulary, to slang, idioms and nuances of the language that is hard to pick up simply from a book. We will develop a lesson plan together that is completely personalized. The goal is to get you speaking at a level for an American university, or British university like Cambridge or Oxford. Увидимся) See you soon!
