Hello! 😊 ✔️ I am a qualified Native teacher with 7 years experience, I have PGCE in School Teaching & 120 hour TESOL certificate to teach English as a foreign language. I’m qualified to teach the following topics to Adult English students: ✔️ Exam Preparation (IELTS, TOEIC, TOEFL, Eiken, OPIc) ✔️ Everyday English Conversation ✔️ Business English ✔️ Job Interview Preparation ✔️ Moving to the UK for Job or Studying ✔️ Custom Learning Plans If you have any questions, send me a message and I look forward to teaching you soon in a trial lesson! 🌞 I am currently living in Thailand so my timezone is in Bangkok time. I teach every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday ⭐Come and join me on my Facebook page at ' English Teacher Beki' for lots of English tips & tricks My accent is a Southern English accent, very similar to the accent you’ll find in London. 🎼I studied in the British Music Conservatoire RNCM for 4 years before studying further to become a fully qualified School Teacher. In my spare time, I volunteer as a leader for Girl Guiding UK and I’ve listed my interests below. 🎹Interests: Travelling, French Horn, Piano, Girl Guiding, Crafts, Cats, Baking and Marvel Films. I enjoy making videos about my travels on my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/bekitravels 📯I also love making videos teaching people how to play brass instruments! 📯 https://www.youtube.com/c/TheBrassTeacher If you're confused about what a trial lesson is, these points will help you: ►THE TRIAL LESSON IS: - A 30 minute introduction class. - An opportunity for you to see how lessons with me work. - Time for you to ask me any questions. - A way for us to create a unique learning plan for you - A way to test your internet connection and check its strong enough for video & audio calls - A way to get to know each other better, learn about our hobbies etc ►A TRIAL LESSON IS NOT: - A free way for you to get your CV or written work corrected. - A lesson which is concentrated on your areas for improvement - A cheap way to get a 30-minute conversation class with the active intention of not continuing. If you have a trial lesson and you decide that I’m not the teacher for you, then of course that’s fine! 😊 Teacher Beki : ) ⏰Lesson Policy:⏰ Please read before booking lessons. * Lessons cannot be rescheduled 12 hours before starting unless there is an emergency. * This is because my schedule is filled usually a week in advance and sometimes even further in advance. If slots are unscheduled last minute this results in a loss of lesson time and lesson fees. *Other students are also unable to take these lesson times as they have previously been booked advance and therefore unavailable. *If you need to reschedule please do so with as much notice as possible so then we are respecting each other's schedule equally :)

You: Hey Gary! What kind of lessons do you teach? What should I expect? Me: First, thanks for messaging me! I'm glad you asked, in addition to entirely conversational based lessons, I teach skills based lessons with the following lesson plan/structure/system: Time: 10 Minutes *Introduction/Review: If this is your first lesson, I ask you to tell me about yourself and your leaning goals. if this is not your first lesson, we say greet each other and then we go over any corrections I sent about the 3-5 sentence writing assignment we completed during the last lesson. I send a document in PDF format within 24 hours after your lesson. Spelling, phrasing, and grammar are corrected this way. [Skills - Grammar and Spelling] Time: 20 minutes *Discussion: We discuss whatever topics you want to discuss. This is your chance to ask a native speaker who lives in the US about US culture, business, and current events. [Skills: Listening, Improvisation, and Fluency] Time: 10 minutes *Reading and writing: An article you or I choose is read by you silently. Any vocabulary that is not understood is explained. You are then asked to write 3-5 sentences about that article. My articles come from breakingnewsenglish.com. I challenge more advanced students to write all 5 sentences. [Skills: Vocabulary Development, Reading, and Writing] Time 10 minutes *Reading out loud: First I read sentences or paragraphs (the length depends on your skill) out loud from the article and then you repeat them after me. After that we read sentences or paragraphs from the article at the exact same time in order to intuitively correct pronunciation and intonation. [Skills: Reading, Listening, Pronunciation, and Accent Reduction] Time: 9 minutes Activities: You will have to complete a variety of activities based on the article, including phrase matching, synonym matching, comprehension questions, and choosing the correct prepositions and articles for sentences. [Skills: Reading Comprehension, Grammar, Phrasing, and Vocabulary] Time: 1 minute Wrap up We review what we just went over and then we say goodbye! Also, if you have any ideas for other styles of lessons, or materials you would like to use, please message me in advance about them and I will consider teaching them in a way that meets your goals. *(Optional) Homework: Time: 45 minutes I ask all my students who are serious about making improvements to keep an English learning journal. In this journal I ask that for five days a week you watch an online series/TV show or read a book for 30 minutes and write 5 sentences about what happened and what you think about what happened in your journal. When selecting a book, it is recommended you pick a popular novel (in the romance, mystery, thriller, or crime genres for example) published in the last 5 years only. Why? Because these books use the language in a modern way and tend to use English that native speakers use when outside of a classroom or other formal settings. I also ask that you listen to a native English speaker (through a video or a podcast) and repeat what you hear by speaking out loud. I then ask you to play that same part over again and speak at the exact same time as the native speaker with the goal being to match the pronunciation exactly. Please do this for 15 minutes five days a week. If you are serious about making improvements I will ask for you to show me this journal at the beginning of each lesson ensure you are working to achieve your goals. A little bit about me: I'm a professional full time ESL teacher. I first started teaching English in 2014 inside a London classroom. Since the start of this year, I have been teaching one on one lessons online and I absolutely love it. I teach children and adults. Also, I'm 32, a dual US-UK citizen, and I live near Cocoa Beach in Florida. I I enjoy spending time with my family, my girlfriend, and her 7 year old daughter. We like spending time with our cats, going to Disney World in Orlando, and watching rocket launches. I'm friendly and open minded to different lifestyles, cultures, and religions. So far, I have taught students of various professions from Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. I'm currently learning Mandarin Chinese with a tutor on Verbling. I've studied Spanish at college, though I am not fluent in it.

Hi all! I'm currently accepting new students, so please get in touch. My goal is to help you reach the confidence and fluency of a native speaker! Nice to meet you! I’m Jake, a native English teacher from the United Kingdom. I’m TEFL-qualified with advanced degrees in languages and translation, and have been teaching English for several years. In 2016 I made the move to teaching English online, and I’ve never looked back. My students come from all over the world, and have a huge variety of different goals. I like to adjust my sessions to suit the needs of each individual student, to ensure that you get the most out of our time together. Whether you’re learning English for your IELTS or TOEFL exam, for your professional development, or simply out of a love of the language, we can create a plan together to reach those goals. I look forward to meeting you, and wish you the best on your quest to master English! – Jake. *PLEASE NOTE 1: I have different rates for teaching children, so if you would like me to teach your child, please let me know in advance of the lesson. Many thanks.
