*** CURRENTLY TAKING ON NEW STUDENTS*** My name is Chris, I’m from London, England, and I love teaching English as a foreign language! I'm a professional teacher who has been teaching since 2012 and I want to make your English learning experience unique and get you to fluency as quickly as possible. After years of experience, research and listening to student’s feedback, I believe that there are 5 principles that make you learn languages fast and effectively: 1. CUSTOMISATION - Learn what you want to learn and get personalised feedback from a professional at the end of a class and in a video within 24 hours of your class. 2. MAKING MISTAKES WITH DELAYED ERROR CORRECTION - Build up your confidence and fluency and find out what wasn’t correct later. Repeat your corrected sentences and vocabulary after class with an audio track. 3. MAXIMISING SPEAKING TIME - Maximise your precious class time by speaking as much as possible and get to fluency more quickly. 4. MOTIVATION - Keep your excitement for learning and avoid those moments when you feel bored of learning. 5. ACCELERATED LEARNING TECHNIQUES - Let me use my skills, activities and games to make your progress quickly in an area of English you are weak in. I’d love to see you in a class if you are considering taking classes with me, and I’d be very happy to help you on your journey into the world English. I’ve had some wonderful first classes and met so many great people throughout the world since I’ve started teaching online, and I’d be delighted if you were one of them. Most people understand what the trial lesson is, but it’s not always clear to everyone. Please just look at the points below to check you know what you are booking. Before your first session starts please consider the following: - Using a microphone with earphones or a headset will give much better sound quality to your lesson. Using computer speakers will probably result in echoing. - Google Chrome seems to be the best browser for Verbling Video. - Doing a test call on Skype with a friend or family member will give you a good idea of how strong your connection is, and if it is sufficient for a class on Verbling. If the speech isn't clear, try turning off the camera. If the speech still isn't clear, try to reconnect. If you are still having problems, upgrade your internet connection. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE TRAIL LESSON IS: - A 30 minutes introduction class. - An opportunity for you to see how the lessons work. - An opportunity for you to ask me any questions. - A way for us to create a plan for your learning goals. - A way to test your internet connection - Occasionally the connection can be problematic for some new online students. - A way to get to know each other. THE TRIAL LESSON IS NOT: - A cheap way for you to get your CV or written work corrected. - A lesson which is focussed on the areas in which you need to improve. - A cheap way to get a 30-minute conversation class with the active intention of not continuing. Of course, if you decide that I am not the right teacher after the class and you wish to find another teacher then that is perfectly fine. N.B. I exercise the right to accept or refuse to give lessons to certain individuals.

The atmosphere of my lessons is relaxed, comfortable, and professional. You will do at least 70% of the talking. You’ll gain confidence from our lessons, and this will encourage you to practice your English in public without fear. Most lessons will include the following components: 1. “Small talk:” A social conversation about, for example, your recent weekend activities. 2. Review of our previous lesson, if any. 3. Pronunciation exercise: Reading aloud from a short text. 4. Main activity: We'll use a text, video, or audio sample as the vehicle to learn the new and reinforce the old. 5. Closing: Review today's lesson and plan for next lesson. At our first lesson, we’ll find out a little about each other. We’ll talk about your needs and interests in any special vocabulary, reading and writing skills, and speaking and listening proficiency. I will ask you to estimate your level of proficiency now, and what level you want to achieve in the next three months. Areas of specialty: Vocabulary enrichment, business/professional English, writing skills, effective meetings and presentations, taking an advanced student to the next level. I hope I’ve shared enough information to help you decide if we might be a good match. If you have any questions before you make your decision, please send me a message.

I began teaching `7 years ago, to younger students at my local church, everything from basic English to math, and from there I helped tutor autistic students at my school, and then went on to teach younger kids at an after school camp. However I really began teaching language specifically over the past 3 years living in Ecuador, where I taught Ecuadorian students English as well as English students Spanish, I have also taught over 160 hr of English online. I take a holistic approach to learning and teaching a new language, meaning that I do not believe there is only one best way to learn a langue, but I do believe that there is a cretin order of operations. What I like to help students with who have very little skill levels at first, is to identify the key words, the words which are most common, and the words that link words together. From there I will help my students with learning the most used verbs and the basic conjugation of those verbs, with different charts and pictures to aid in the memorization. The more words and phrases my students learn I will begin to go more in-depth with basic grammar, and common styles of conversation. I always try to correct my students when they make grammatical or pronunciation mistakes, so that they don't make a habit out of it. Conversing with my students at this point is extremely beneficial to their progress and speed of learning, because through conversing in a language it is one of the fastest ways to learn and memorize it, especially when you have a dedicated teacher to converse with and give you constructive feedback. I will talk with my students about themselves, day to day activities and what they find interesting, challenging, or exciting, I believe the more I can make the learning process fun and interactive for my students the faster and more efficiently they will learn the language, so I try to avoid topics that will bore or discourage them. My goal is to not only be a teacher to my students but also an encouraging supportive friend.

My name is Stewart, I am 29 years old and I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas! I studied screenwriting (Writing for Film and TV) while in college and had the fun experience of working on a couple TV shows and Movies. I've moved on from that life, but I'm still a very active movie/television viewer. Please send me a message first before you book a class so we can get to know each other. Even after our sessions are complete I like to talk with students, so feel free to message me if you need anything. If you have any questions, requests, scheduling issues, or just want to chat, let me know :-) PLEASE FOLLOW ME! I message coupons to my followers. Hurray! I provided a buy 5 get 1 Free coupon in my profile for new Verbling students. Please don't forget to use this :-) ______________________________________________________________________ Reviews from some of my super students :-) Aliya - United States/China — December 5, 2015 I even do not know how to put words into it, he just awesome!!! Helen - United States/China — June 25, 2016 My kid have had two classes with teacher Stewart, and she likes him a lot! After every class, Stewart sent messages with a very nice summary about what he taught, and what my daughter needs to improve and the schedule for the following class. I really like the way he taught my daughter and appreciate it. Strongly recommend him to young kids:) Julia ChenJung - Taiwan — July 21, 2016 My teacher is funny, I like talking with him and create stories together. André - Brazil — December 17, 2015 Stewart is THE MASTER!!! Allen - China — August 14, 2016 Stewart is a very good teacher, very patient, always prepared for each student. The content is very suitable and exciting for my little daughter. Thanks! Bashayer - Saudi Arabia — August 16, 2016 lovely human being and excellent teacher <3 Definitely will book more classes with Stewart. Dany - Costa Rica — October 27, 2015 Stewart is a great and patient teacher, he always prepares an interesting class focusing on what you need or want to improve. I recommend him if you want good quality lessons, feedback and to have some fun too. Hadi - Unites States / Iran — February 26, 2016 Stewart is a perfect teacher. I am very excited about find right teacher for english. He corrects all my wrong sentences. He has a very natural accent and he is very polite. Sergey - Russia — June 1, 2016 Hello Everyone, My name is Sergey and I am from Russia. I have been taking classes with Stewart since October 2015. My goal is to get 7 band score at the speaking part of the IELTS exam so every lesson we try to practice speaking as much as possible. The speaking part consists of 3 sections. You should be able to speak on familiar topics such as your job or hobby (section 1), describe something(section 2) and answer more complicated questions (section 3). Usually, we begin our lesson with a short talk about things going and then discuss the topic of the lesson in detail so our lessons cover all 3 sections of the speaking parts of the IELTS. During the lessons, I write down new vocabulary but after every lesson Stewart send me a brief summary of a new vocabulary, my mistakes and corrections and an audio file with pronunciation. These audios are extremely useful because they help me to improve my pronunciation and memorize new words because I listen to them nearly every day. If I forgot the meaning of the word from the audio then I could revise it in the summary. One of the features of Stewart's lessons is that he gives interesting native speaker vocabulary. I guarantee that you are not going to find it in textbooks. On top of that, his lessons are fun :) and I really enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and Stewart's sense of humor :) Recently I took a mock IELTS exam and got 7 for speaking thus I achieved my objective. Nevertheless, I am not going to slack off and hope to improve my score at a real one. I think if you are an open-minded and easy-going person and know your goals then Stewart is your teacher. Your English will never be rusty :) Sincerely, Sergey
