Hello, I'm Steven and I'm from Manchester, UK. I have a Master's degree from Cambridge University and CELTA English teaching qualification. I have thousands of hours of English teaching experience since 2012. I first taught in Japan and then Spain and now teach online. I like to focus on natural, real English and the advanced grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation that you will need to speak at a high level. My teaching style is to create unique lessons, exercises and homework for you to target your weaknesses so you improve as quickly and efficiently as possible. Having fun is extremely important so I aim to have natural conversations about topics that you and I both find interesting. After the lesson I will give you personalised notes to work on your weaknesses. I'll give you homework on these topics so you improve and don't keep making the same mistakes. I love learning about different cultures which is why I find English teaching so interesting. Please share your culture with me and convince me to visit your home country :) I've been very lucky to be able to travel to lots of countries in Asia and Europe, also America and Uganda. Before teaching English I studied engineering so I can help you with technical or university level English. Feel free to have a trial lesson to see if I can help you bring your English to the next level. Thanks for reading this far. Steven
Hi, my name is Ivan. I am a native English speaker from Australia and have been a teacher's assistant and English tutor for school aged kids since 2017. I enjoy working with children and have been a volunteer in a number of different programs. I have also worked with older teenagers as well as those who need assistance with preparing for English tests and helping them fill out applications for various English and other educational studies. I moved to Bosnia with my family as a young child but English is still very much my native language. My lessons are fun, informative and I have lots of materials that are easy for young students to follow. I am also happy to work with any materials my students have, especially if it will help them with their regular school work. As a student learning a different language, I understand the difficulties and this has motivate me to further my studies to become a fully qualified English teacher. I look forward to getting to know all the young, and young at heart English students out there so send me a message and introduce yourself.
Hi there! I'm a Canadian instructor who has spent five years teaching English in Asia. I specialize in pronunciation training so if you want to learn how to sound like a native English speaker, give me a try. I promise that within one class, I can get you to perfectly pronounce any one word in the English language. My second specialization is in soft skills such as interviewing and presentations. If you prefer learning through practical scenarios and role playing, you won't find a more well-rounded instructor.
Hello everyone, my name is Carl and I was born in Canada. I have a passion for teaching, and believe teaching like learning should be fun to get the most out of it. I focus on Pronunciation using Phonetics (what does it sound like). Most of my students struggle, because they are still using their native sounds while speaking English, which is why they usually have a strong accent. In my classes we keep it simple and go back to basics, discussing the sounds that each letter of the English Alphabet make, it’s Vowels and Consonants, and then moving on to Syllables and how that changes the Intonation of their speaking. Speaking is sound, and sound is physical, it is all about the parts of the mouth being in the correct position, so if the parts of your mouth are in the same position as mine, we will make the same sound. You don’t have to think about it, it just happens. There are 26 letters in the English Alphabet, but there are a minimum of between 39 and 48 sounds, depending on which accent you wish to use. It is much easier for you to memorize 48 sounds than it is to memorize 4,000 words! Once you do this, you will have a neutral accent, and then you can decide how you wish to change these to sound more American, English or Australian etc. So if you are determined to improve your English Language Skills, and you are looking for a teacher who believes that teaching and learning are about having fun while learning in order to produce the best results I hope you will contact me, and give me an opportunity to help you achieve your goals. Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
