¡Hola! My name is Isabel, I´m from Valencia, Spain and I have been teaching Spanish since 2010. I specialize in BEGINNER students, and I have taught children, teenagers and adults of all ages. Getting your basics right from the beginning is very, very important, and I will make sure that we progress gradually but steadily so that you feel confident from the start.

I am trained in the communicative method through International House Barcelona, and I have worked in the UK, China and Spain. I have a degree in Translation and Interpreting, a postgraduate degree in language teaching from a British university, and I can speak English (C2) and French (C1).

In my lessons we usually start with some warming up activities focused on what we did the previous lesson, and then we work through different materials, focusing on speaking, listening and pronunciation, but also on grammar and vocabulary. Every student has different needs, difficulties and interests, so I adapt my lessons depending on these. I am very PATIENT! So don´t worry if I have to explain something 1,000 times, I will do it until you understand it.

As you can imagine from my work experience, I love travelling, and I´ve been to many places: I´ve volunteered at a tea plantation in Nepal, at hostels in Japan, and I´ve travelled around Chile and Argentina. Now, however, I´ve settled down in my hometown so I can be close to my family and enjoy the weather!
