I am here to teach you the Romanian language from a new perspective, that of a long time Romanian expat, with an objective view of what makes the Romanian language and culture different - because when you learn a new language, vocabulary means nothing without the context it comes from. To help you form that context, I will use my experience of teaching English from the time I lived in Indonesia, but especially my perspective as a foreign language student. Traveling to many places, I came to realize how important the role of language is in helping you truly discover a people.
Depending on the level of each student, we will decide whether to be more focused on grammar or more focused on Romanian vocabulary and culture, which I call the context of the language. Only one constant will characterize my classes: English humor, which, for better or worse, I've always liked. Personally, I prefer teaching methods that are as interactive as possible. I use a lot of audio-video and media, which I feel offers the learner of a new language, an instant and more tangible learning outcome. We'll keep things as relaxed as possible as well, as I am well aware of how difficult, frustrating and full of personal sacrifices the task of learning a foreign language is when it is taken too seriously. I can't wait to get to work! See you soon!
