Sobre mí

My name is Lailaa Clarke. I am currently a University student (at the International Open University) from Cape Town, South Africa.

I have a few years of teaching and leadership experience, instructing children and adults with diverse range of abilities. I’m successful at boosting achievement in students by providing encouragement and a safe learning environment. My teaching style is very friendly, caring and I absolutely enjoy seeing my students excel. I have had the honour to do voluntary classes, wherein I help young kids with their daily assignments and homework as well as assisting teenagers. I provided Accounting and Arabic Tuition to high school learners . I also provide weekly classes for adults (Quranic studies and teaching them the Arabic alphabet and the pronunciation thereof).

I am TEFL certified (I-to-i) and I get to practice my knowledge every day as I am married to a non-native English speaker. I am very passionate and committed to what I do and I believe this makes me an ideal teacher. I am excited to meet you and have a conversation with you!
