I was a part-time teacher when I was in college. I was tutoring high school students preparing for Broadcasting and Hosting major entrance exams. Those students are usually fluent speakers looking for professional training. I helped them with speaking skills and acting techniques. So if you are fluent speaker, please don’t hesitate to start my courses, I can definitely help you proceed to a more proficient level. If you are a beginner, don’t be afraid to start either: I’m a mother of two children, a four year old and a two year old. They started daycare when they started to learn how to speak. So, ironically, they don’t speak Mandarin even I insisted talking to them in Mandarin. Then I have to try every way to teach them too.
Also, I’ve got my masters’ degree in education leadership and I was doing my internship in an Intensive language program for a year. I’ve gain a lot on teaching strategies and practical methodologies. That makes me more confident working with students with different language levels. So I can tutor the language range from any level.
However, after many years’ work in education, I believe every student should be treated uniquely. There’s no single method match each student. I’m definitely active to learn what type of learner you are and adjust my way of teaching to different approaches, so that no one is left behind.
