A native British English speaker, I have been passionate about language learning since school. I studied Modern Languages at university in the UK, so understand the challenges of language learning from the student's perspective too.
I did Cambridge CELTA teacher training at the end of 2016 (after years of informal teaching) and moved to Colombia to start a new chapter of life in January 2017. I taught at Universidad del Rosario, and also taught a wide variety of private classes with Colombian and international adults and children, in person and online.
Now back in the UK, I teach learners of all ages, abilities, backgrounds and contexts. I love the variety of students and the breadth of teaching skills that entails. I have top qualifications and extensive experience, in general, business and academic English, as well as in Cambridge, IELTS and TOEFL international exams.
Being a good teacher is all about working with the student to find the personalized way that works most effectively for them to grow in confidence and achieve their goals. It’s about connecting language learning with real life, making sense of English in a particular context and recognizing a student’s personal needs, challenges and learning style.
I do currently have capacity for working with new students. If the schedule is not showing your preferred time, please do contact me and I will do my very best to find a space that suits you.
