Sobre mí

Hello and welcome to Verbling (if you are new here). I have been teaching since 1989 and I specialize in IELTS and academic English; however, I am also free to teach other curriculums, such as Western Culture, Public Speaking and so on. If you have a subject you would like to study, tell me and I can prepare materials to help you.

Some quick information about myself:
* I was an IELTS Speaking examiner in Shanghai from 2003 - 2009
* I have taught academic English at universities in Canada, China &
Saudi Arabia
* I have a bachelor's degree in English Literature
* I have completed the CELTA program for teaching ESL
* I am a published writer/author/poet ("Surviving IELTS Speaking")
* I have taught in Canada, South Korea, China & Saudi Arabia
* I usually teach high school, college/university students & adults
* I use a variety of teaching materials (some written by myself)

I am available to teach one-off classes but if you are serious about learning English, you should buy 5 to 10 lessons at a time (this will also save you money). Classes are much better when the teacher and student get to know each other, and form a type of relationship.

The next step is for you to schedule a class and introduce yourself to me. I love meeting new people, and I hope that I will have the opportunity to meet you soon as well.

Sincerely,
John.
