I have a BA and the SIT TESOL certificate. I have been teaching for 18 years. I have taught ESL and French to all ages from 2 to the elderly. I have worked with people in many sectors, students, actors, business, tech industry, tourists, new immigrants, etc. I have also taught in public and private schools. I have taught in language schools both in Los Angeles and NYC.
I love to listen to my students and have them tell me how they learn and work with them. It is very important to have good communication with my students. I like to find out what their interests are so we can learn in a fun way and also focus on things they want to learn. I like to tailor my classes to each individual. No one learns the same way! Also everyone is at different stages in their life and will have different struggles.
I am open to hearing about what students need to focus on. I love helping with grammar, but also pronunciation, reading and writing and even culture.
